MJ McFarland

Christie's International Real Estate

A bit about me,

Born in Watertown, New York, MJ McFarland spent his formative years in constant motion. As the son of a U.S. military serviceman, he lived in multiple cities across the country, with much of his upbringing taking place in Texas. Experiencing frequent relocations gave him an early appreciation for the moving process and the importance of finding the right place to call home—an understanding that would later shape his career in real estate.

MJ’s exceptional athletic ability earned him a full football scholarship to The University of Texas at Austin, where he developed the discipline, resilience, and competitive drive that would define the next chapter of his life. After college, he realized a lifelong dream when he advanced to the professional ranks of the National Football League. During his career, he had the privilege of playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, the New York Jets, and the Dallas Cowboys, competing at the highest level of the sport.

While football was his primary focus during those years, MJ also cultivated a deep interest in finance and investing. Recognizing the importance of building a strong financial future, he dedicated much of his time off the field to learning how money works—studying not only how it is earned, but also how it can be invested, grown, and preserved over time. This curiosity ultimately laid the foundation for his transition into the business world.

Today, MJ brings the same work ethic, strategic mindset, and commitment to excellence that defined his athletic career into the real estate industry. His background as both a professional athlete and investor gives him a unique perspective when advising clients on one of the most significant financial decisions they will make. Known for his professionalism, discipline, and results-driven approach, MJ is dedicated to helping clients navigate the real estate process with confidence while building long-term wealth through real estate ownership
